National Young Leaders Conference?

Hi! So i was invited to the national young leaders conference for my gpa and my PSAT scores. I will be a junior in the up comming year. So im leaving tomorrow and the conference is taiking place in the DC area. I will be staying in a hotel room for about 10 days by myself nooo parentss wooo hooo! So like any teenager i want to take this opportunity to the fullest. I am already from the DC area and i looked on the sceduel and its nothing but sight seeing and tons and hours and hours of conferences. Im getting 2 college credits for it. so thats a plus but If i have been invisted to such a pertigious program then why does it not look like were having any fun? I hav already seen all the monuments and blah blah because i lived thier for um teen years and i hate civics, and history and legislature blah blah which is what thier lecutring about according the the schedule. Has anyone ever been to this? Did you even have fun? What were your experiences, opinions and i need advicve! I wanna have fun! I know i can make the best out of any situation..but if thier rewarding me for bieng so smart aparently why dosent it seem fun? Dnt i deserve a break?

Well, when you give it some thought, it wasn't until AFTER WWII that the space race began. Although it was some 24 years after WWII that man first stepped foot on the moon, the Soviet Union and the US were developing and experimenting with ways of putting man into space. Ironically, many of the scientists and much of the technology for space exploration came from the development of some of the weapons used in the war. And even if the war had not occured, it is doubtful that there would have been very many nations interested in space exploration mainly b/c their resources and finances were channeled into other areas.

Should I switch to an arts school for dance senior year?

I'm a junior right now at a regular high school and I dance 5 days a week both with my small studio and also with a community ballet program, but I still feel like I'm not getting enough dance training because I want to attend either a college dance program or a conservatory after high school, and then maybe join a ballet company or contemporary, broadway, modern, etc, I don't know yet. All I know is I keep feeling like I'm getting nowhere at my high school, I'm really into the arts and this school is known for its athletics, people are mean and I don't really fit in that well. I mean yeah I have some friends and stuff, but I don't really have a sense of belonging or anything and don't really wanna go there next year because I'm quiet around people I don't know and I don't wanna be the girl nobody invites to beach week or any big senior parties, or doesn't get asked to senior prom. And if I switched schools it would be to the UNC school of the arts, hopefully the ballet program if I get in and if not maybe I'll see if I can do contemporary. I think that going there for senior year would really help me decide if I wanna go there for college or not and I would get the best dance training ever, and I'd get to be in their Nutcracker, which is the one that everyone in town goes to see, normally I have to tell people that I'm in the Nutcracker, but not the school of the arts one, a smaller(and crappier) version. I know it'd be kinda different switching schools just for the last year since everyone else there my age probably has known each other for years and years and they're all ridiculously great dancers who have been to intensives at SAB and other places like that and I'm not up to their level right now but I wouldn't be auditioning until either February or April of next year, so I have time to prepare for the audition and everything. And if I got in I already live in Winston-Salem so I could commute there and back easily. Just wondering what other dancers think, if I should stick it out at my high school or risk it all going somewhere new where I don't know hardly anyone. Also any tips on preparing for the audition would be welcome too.

About 6 months ago I met a girl and we hit it off so I got her number and later she sent me a facebook invite and well we didn't see each other much after that but we talked on facebook and text messaged constantly however after a couple months she started ignoring my texts and IMs a while later we run into each other again and talk for a couple minutes and then she texts me a lot for a while but then stops again for the most part however now we talk occasionally again and she always shows interest in hanging out but of course she doesn't reply half the time unless its something serious and she says her phone gets no reception at home.. which is I suppose believable since she has AT&T and lives in the middle of nowhere none of this seems very serious but for a long time we talked constantly and she started to like me a fair bit I believe and she doesn't make much attempt anymore to talk so I have two theories one is that it it something hopeful such as she just likes talking to me in person more or some such thing however I also think its possible that she just doesn't have the guts to be rude to someone in person or that she just saw, I am 16 and she is 15 if age matters. What is your guys input on this and what should I do? There's a possibility that if Jackson gets traded, Ellis will go along with him. That's what Nellie wants I think and I don't blame him. Both of their contracts are pretty bad, we don't really know what Monta can do yet, but we'll wait and see. I don't really see Maggette getting 20/7 per night because Randolph and Biedrins are going to grab most of the rebounds, I don't even see Maggette getting 20 PPG because Nellie will probably play Azubuike just as much. I think Monta will do a bit more than 20 PPG but we'll wait and see what he numbers he puts up and if he gets traded or not. As for the question, IF Jackson is traded, I can see this team with no leader. Ellis is NOT a leader, Randolph is too young, Maggette doesn't have the leadership, and Biedrins is too young also. So yes, I can see them being slipping under the radar, but hopefully if the Warriors trade players like Ellis, Maggette, or Jackson and wait till the summer of '10, I can see them being a good team. i'm not exactly sure how this deck can be fixed, but you can take out the blasters since they're not so tough and maybe the ufo turtles too. replace the pot of avarice with 2 royal firestorm guards because they require less monsters in the graveyard. and you don't need backfire since you say you're trying to make a beatdown and backfire burns. you should also put in sakuretsu armor or widespread ruin. 8/10

I'd call a pharmacist to be certain but I think you'd be fine taking anything by now. With your symptoms I'd take something like for your throat with a pain medication in it too.

hi recently brought a secon Hand jbl proflora m500 kit. went to connect the regulator to the bottle last night but although I've done the nut up as tight as I can by hand the regulator is still loose and loads of movement in it. I thought this is normal as it was tight so turned the bottle on and I heard a loud gushing noise and the regulator part popped forward slightly so i quickly turned it off. so I'm guessing it was all exscapping? is this normal for this model and just turn it on and it will self lock after that?

How do i stop my cat spraying ?

My 3 year old male cat keeps spraying everywhere in my house! He has been neutered (when he was 6 months old) but he stil does it all the time. Cauliflowers Wilting Problem?

I planted 12 cauliflower plants in my allotment 2 months ago, I used landscape fabric to keep weeds down & spread slug pellets to keep them at bay. About 3 of these plants have now suffered a strange problem whereby the outer leaves are wilting and just a few inner leaves are OK. On inspection, the stem seems to go from about 4mm thick where it enters the ground to about 1mm thick in the ground, clearly causing some water supply problems. What is causing this? Is it slugs eating the stalk or some other diesease? All info welcome.

Switching nat. gas to propane with no conversion kit?

I want to convert a stove from nat. gas to propane. My stove is old though, the company that made it (Locke Stove) doesn't exist anymore, so I can't purchase a conversion kit from them. My question is can I connect the stove to a propane tank and use the tank's valve to decrease propane flow to minimum - to equal nat. gas flame - with no conversion kit. I've seen people singe chickens by using just a propane tank and a rubber hose.

As far as a substrate goes, will the black Tahitian moon sand be okay with them. They will be in a 29 gallon tank all by themselves. I am trying to get a breeding pair. They currently live with 3 African Cichlids, a synodontis(sp) and 1 other fish whose name slips my mind right now. They love to eat rosies and probably other smaller fish but when I carefully introduce smaller Africans they leave them alone. It's been a very interesting interaction as the Africans have no fear of the turtles and will actually steal pieces of food right from their mouth. Problem with my Hoover UH70055 bagless vacuum - roller won't spin?

Don't have the manual any more, it's pretty new, got it from target, but threw out box. was just vacuuming the floor, and rolled over a cord, and the roller stopped spinning. Nothing is stuck in it, it moves if I flick it, but the vacuum isn't spinning it, only suction, but no roller spinning, so it's pretty useless for vacuuming. Any ideas on what might be wrong?
