If you go to a DIY wedding wedding did it make you feel totally overwhelmed? Or is it just me?

I'm just trying to figure this all out and I'm feeling kind of scared after I saw all of that stuff- it just looks really expensive on their front pages like Bride and Martha and then the blogs are hard to find stuff on. Is it just me feeling overwhelmed? Or are they really a little overwhelming? I really don't want to bother my fiance with it this early but I don't know how to feel about it all I definitely can't afford to hire people to style my wedding!
