Will my Rose bushes survive?
I am probably doomed, but I have to ask anyway. I bought 4 Rose bushes last Thursday. I put them in the back of my truck, and forgot about them. Friday I got them out of my truck and they were frozen. I brought them inside and let them thaw out. When they thawed the leaves were all droopy but the directions said to cut them about 6 inches from the base below the leaf buds after you plant them anyway so I didn't worry to much about it. So I plant them Saturday finally. Water them really good. Monday morning I got out and my stupid dog had dug them all up. So today I searched my property and found them all. They were dry, but still looked green, but only the hard thick roots were still there at the base. SO I shoved them back in the holes then were stolen from, re buried them, and watered them really good again. Do you think they have ANY chance at all of taking root, or should I just go buy more and start over? FYI they were "climbing" roses. And I live in Northern NV. Thanks!
