Why did Memphis trade Pau Gasol?

Ridiculous. I think Grizzlies front office Chris Wallace should be ashamed of such a bad deal. He has screwed the rest of the team by turning the Lakers into a powerhouse for the next five years. They've made it to the Finals without Bynum a legit 7 foot center who is the defensive presence they will need to counter Greg Oden. And other big men in the league. People are saying that it's going to be tough for the Lakers to make it back to the Finals year after year. No which western conf team is going to stand in their way. Which east team will stand in their way. The Pistons are about to rebuild. The Spurs have expired literally. Celtics will have an instantaneous success but their future looks as bad as it was before they got Garnett. Those were the other teams.
