Is the Peterloo macre ever taught in British schools?

It is not taught in many schools now simply because there isn't time. Years ago, kids were taught British history but now they have to include world history which means that some things have to be left out. I don't believe this is right. I believe kids should be taught the history of the country they live in as they should know how the country evolved and why things are the way they are. Those interested in their ancestors history from other countries should be encouraged to study it in their own time.
